Following the recent arrival of the new ESG Director, HHA is continuing with their mission to become a trailblazer and industry pioneer in the global fight against climate change.

Reporting to the ESG Director, you will be leading the development and implementation of the Harwich Haven Authority's Environment, Sustainability and Governance strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering against key plans to implement the Sustainability strategy.

  • Leading the Authority's Sustainability reporting requirement objectives.

  • Presenting business cases and project updates where required to the Board.

  • Working closely with a range of internal stakeholders to ensure environmental standards are embedded.

  • Monitoring and reviewing emerging and current legal requirements and policy, to ensure the Authority remains compliant

You will have:

  • Experience working within the marine environment, transport, construction sector or similar.

  • An engaging approach to sustainability and the ability to bring people along on the transformation journey.

This opportunity is based at the Authority's head office in Harwich, however, they have a hybrid structure and so you can split your time between home and the office.

In return for your skills and experience, you will be met with a basic salary (£60,000-£70,000 depending on experience) and benefits package, including a bonus and private medical cover.
