Environment Manager

Acre is proud to be supporting an "essential industry" chemical manufacturer in the search for an Environment Manager to join the organisation as soon as possible at their site in Essex.

Supporting the Group Health, Safety and Environment Manager to oversee environmental performance in the group, this is a critical role for the business. You will be examining all corporate activities to identify where environmental improvements can be made to ensure correct compliance with environmental legislation and reducing costs.

You will be collaborating with senior management stakeholders to ensure there is environmental input into the organisations management of change system, while also representing the company to ensure positive relationships with the Environment Agency and other external bodies.

This role is crucial in developing and implementing cost effective environmental strategies and action plans, whilst coordinating all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation and renewable energy, including the management across all sites of waste removal contracts.

We are looking for analytical individuals, comfortable with reviewing various scientific data to draw conclusions, with the ability to write concise reports of findings and demonstrate logical thinking. You will ideally have a degree or HND in a relatable field, whilst also having a practitioner membership of the institute of environmental management & assessment (PIEMA).
