Are you an engaging sustainability professional that enjoys seeing first-hand the positive impact you can have in a dynamic environment? Are you motivated to develop an array of environmental skills whilst working towards ambitious targets?

This business, a nationally recognised 5-star housebuilder, has a clear commitment to sustainability. This developer utilises innovative approaches to help reach its ambitious targets, including the aim of achieving zero waste by 2024.

Due to a recent reorganisation of the sustainability function, the organisation is now searching for an Environmental Advisor to support the delivery of the organisation's sustainability strategy.

This is a diverse role that will see you working across a range of environmental disciplines, including waste management, environmental management systems, carbon reduction and circularity.

You will be an inquisitive and collaborative sustainability professional, helping to ensure environmental targets are met, engaging with stakeholders on site and identifying areas of improvement across the business.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the maintenance of the environmental management system and ISO 14001 certification

  • Lead on site-based compliance, with a focus on waste management, circularity, pollution prevention, materials management, climate readiness, noise and dust

  • Look to new technologies and innovative methods to help reduce environmental impact, e.g. battery hybrid generators, alternative fuel sources, electric vehicle trials and hydrogen opportunities

  • Assist with the analysis of environmental, sustainability and carbon data to identify trends and causes

  • Work with external partners and industry bodies such as the Supply Chain Sustainability School and Future Homes Hub to help drive industry-wide change

To excel in the role, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in a dedicated environmental/sustainability focused role

  • Ability to build and maintain business relationships at all levels

  • A proactive and innovative attitude

  • A full and current driving license

This is a brilliant opportunity to join an innovative and environmentally conscious new homes organisation as it looks to press ahead with an ambitious strategy.
