Are you an ambitious environmental professional that enjoys driving performance and improvement through legislation and is motivated to set policy for one of the UK's leading property companies?

This business, an internationally recognised asset manager and developer, continues to strengthen its sustainability team with the creation of a new position, an Environmental Performance Manager. This role will take ownership of the environment and sustainability management systems such as ISO 14001 across all of their divisions, from construction to property management. Our client believes in pushing the boundaries of sustainability, and as a result, you will be empowered to introduce new initiatives to the organisation to support the delivery of the Group's strategy. Reporting to the Sustainability Director, you will join a team of impressive Environment and Sustainability Leads, each taking ownership of part of the ESG strategy.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement the Environment and Sustainability business management system, including the relevant documents, e.g. policies, procedures, and support guidance.

  • Collaborate with business leaders across each division to ensure environmental policies are understood and implemented.

  • Oversee the EMS audit schedule and ensure continuous improvement is achieved.

  • Research of emerging sustainable compliance-related trends.

  • Be the point of contact for management system queries and provide relevant information to support wider sustainability activities such as the annual sustainability report.

To excel in the role, you will bring:

  • Experience developing, managing, and implementing an Environmental Management System accredited to ISO14001/ ISO 50001.

  • Degree level in Environmental studies desirable. IEMA Associate or NEBOSH Environmental Management Diploma as a minimum requirement.

  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build relationships with a varied group of business leaders.
