Our client is looking to strengthen their management team by appointing their first ESG leader. This Group level role will be an influential position with the goal of developing and executing the sustainability/ESG strategy. Reporting into the Chief Technical Officer, you will work with a range of internal stakeholders as well as the supply chain.
This is a diverse role that will see you working for a long-established building materials organisation, and one that is growing internationally. Due to multiple offices and the flexible working policy, we are open to speaking with candidates anywhere in the UK.
In this role you will be:
Creating and delivering the sustainability strategy.
Driving internal and external stakeholder engagement.
Producing a sustainability report in line with GRI guidelines.
Overseeing the waste/energy/water performance.
Implementing innovative solutions to ensure continuous sustainability improvements are achieved.
To excel in the role, you'll bring:
Experience in an ESG/sustainability role, preferably within construction or manufacturing
Strong project management skills
Knowledge of environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues, key trends and best practices.
