Are you currently working in the property sector and have been successful in implementing ESG strategies across standing assets? Do you want to work for a property developer that is committed to playing an active part in addressing the issues of climate change?

Our client is a London-based property developer and asset manager, who have developed, created, and re-invented some of the most recognisable buildings in London.

In a newly created role, you will report into the Head of ESG and join a growing and dynamic team and lead the implementation of their ESG strategy across their portfolio of iconic retail, leisure, and residential assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for and lead the development and delivery of the ESG strategy plan for each property by Asset Manager site teams:

  • Oversee the setting of energy and carbon reduction targets by Asset Managers and asset-specific net-zero carbon pathways

  • Ensure assets are on track to achieve their decarbonisation goals, manage the development and roll-out of energy audits, energy management plans, climate risk assessment and decarbonisation plans for each asset

  • Lead on the delivery of other sustainability-related actions across the portfolio to improve the performance of the assets in line with our ESG programme, e.g. waste and water performance, circular economy projects, biodiversity improvements, healthy building demonstration of performance, and responsible procurement.

  • Oversee the obtention of NABERS UK Energy rating for commercial assets by site teams and annual improvement

  • Operating with a flat hierarchy structure and transparent model, this is a chance to join a business with full backing from the senior leadership team who are committed to reaching net-zero by 2030.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • You have previous experience managing energy and carbon performance in commercial real estate

  • You are able to communicate complex technical ESG topics to a wider internal and external non-specialist audience

  • You have a good understanding of NABERS
