Acre is working with one of UK's leading banks to help them hire an ESG Reporting Manager. As part of the Group Sustainable Business Unit, this team works closely with the group strategy and investor relations team and helps communicate the story of the bank's ESG journey and drive positive ESG changes.

The successful candidate:

Reporting into the Group Head of ESG reporting, this position will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert advice and support across the business to help identify appropriate ESG content, metrics and case studies that demonstrate our principles of doing business responsibly

  • Providing knowledge and insights related to ESG performance and trends in the financial services sector

  • Continuously scan best practice in ESG reporting, market practices and standards development. Identifying the implications for the Group and making recommendations for improved ESG performance and reporting outputs

  • Developing, maintaining and leading a clear project plan for ESG reporting requirements and processes

  • Handling and coordinating ESG collateral, including production of the annual ESG report and supporting suite of documents

  • Making recommendations on reporting frameworks for which the Group subscribe, working alongside areas of the business to bring improvements for the ESG data collation and reporting

  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with key teams including commercial Bank, customer vulnerability, people policy, risk division and others, to ensure an aligned approach to ESG reporting

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • A background in sustainability or ESG, with experience and knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks, standards and regulations, preferably in financial services

  • Strong track record of stakeholder and relationship management
