A high-impact, global retailer is partnering with Acre to appoint an Ethical Trade Manager - Pakistan, to manage and drive the company's key Ethical Trade portfolio with a specific focus on monitoring and solution among the supply chain in Pakistan.

This role is part of the continued expansion of a highly sophisticated and globally recognised Ethical Trading team working proactively to remediate supply chain issues.

This new role has been created due to the rapid growth of the programme and the organisation's long-term ambitions. The role is equally integrated within both the Regional Ethical Trade and Environmental Sustainability Team and the UK-based Central Ethical Trade and Environmental Sustainability Team.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Reporting to regional Ethical Trade Manager and UK Ethical Trade team on audits and follow ups with utilisation of available resources

  • Plan and perform audits with follow ups and set priorities in collaboration with eh Senior Ethical Trade Manager

  • Support the Senior Ethical trade Manager in maintaining the regional supply chain database with status and ratings

  • Build and manage relationships with local and regional stakeholders including industry associations, trade unios and government bodies

  • Develop trainings and workshops for the factory onboarding process and other relevant training

  • Develop the factory qualification programme on the basis of audit findings and recommendations

The successful candidate will be an experienced, results driven and diplomatic ethical trading professional with experience on both audit and solutions programming.

The organisation's Ethical Trade programme is one of the most ambitious and advanced in the industry; consequently, the role commands a great deal of attention and scrutiny both within and outside the business.

You will have:

  • A strong track record in ethical trade management and a thorough understanding of factory auditing and remediation within the local context of Pakistan

  • Proven experience managing complex projects, including identifying and managing risk in a highly dynamic environment.

  • Excellent cross-cultural communication and engagement skills, able to foster collaboration and manage a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to deal with ambiguity and make challenging decisions

  • Data and IT literacy with strong attention to detail, able to drive programme integrity and effective reporting
