If you are getting excited, let us tell you more about it. What can you expect to do in this role?
Design and implement sustainability policies related to climate and carbon topics such as carbon credits, energy certificates, net-zero certification, sustainable agriculture
Ensure Executive Board and Supervisory Board sign off on critical topics
Partner with delivery functions to develop a compliance program that ensures policies and standards are embedded in the organization
Develop internal knowledge and design training plans for operating companies to get familiar with the company's position on critical sustainability topics
Act as a guardian of the policies and be able to direct the organization on sustainability topics clearly
Engage external platforms such as RE100, Re-Source, RSB, Race to Zero, BIER, and The Climate Pledge and remain up to date with the latest policy development
Develop and implement financial models related to carbon pricing and work closely with global finance to predict future risks and opportunities
Support internal Carbon PMO and Strategy lead to develop a Carbon Dashboard
Support the business's brand agenda and green claims with global legal and global commerce

Advanced sustainability and environmental knowledge related to energy and/or agriculture and/or packaging
Expertise in policy development, external advocacy, stakeholder engagement
Functional skills in change management, program management, campaign management and brand PR
Languages: English; proficient command of other languages highly valued (Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, French, etc.).
Beyond that, what soft skills will you need?
An ability to shape, connect, develop, deliver and/or role model a company's behaviours
Strong communication skills: you will need to be able to defend the company's position and steer decisions, manage relationships with the often conflicting interests of various stakeholders, and build strong relationships with cross-functional colleagues
An ability to listen to understand as it requires more than facts to influence others
An ability to deal with ambiguity; you will manage your workload, tasks, and scope. It will serve you well to be pragmatic and proactive
With an engaging and inspiring influencing style; you will need to be able to train others, manage without controlling and win hearts and minds in all areas of the business and beyond.
This position will also require a university-level education and at least ten years of experience in sustainability-related fields.
