This is an exciting time for Miller Homes as they look to appoint a new Group Head of Sustainability. You will play a key role in developing a progressive sustainability strategy and shaping their approach as they embark on the next stage of this important journey.

As Miller Homes Group Head of Sustainability, you will:

  • Initially develop and deliver the Group's carbon and waste management strategies, before defining a wider sustainability strategy that is fully aligned with business and operational activities.

  • Engage and collaborate with the Board, Executive Committee and regional business leaders to ensure a shared sustainability vision and journey.

  • Provide a clear vision of what is needed across all project areas to ensure the sustainability strategy enhances business performance and reputation.

  • Work with the Group Sales & Marketing Director to develop a Customer Insight programme to ensure the evolving expectations of customers can be met.

  • Use your initiative and professional network to 'Horizon Scan' and identify key ESG risks, opportunities and trends.

  • Champion key sustainability issues, such as the delivery of Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspaces (SANG) and Biodiversity Net Gain.

  • Manage the Group's sustainability auditing and reporting obligations, as well as external sustainability benchmarking.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Experience creating and implementing bespoke sustainability strategies.

  • Detailed working knowledge of the construction or new homes sector.

  • Knowledge of sustainability auditing and reporting requirements.

  • An understanding of wider sustainability issues, frameworks, ESG issues and combined outcomes.

  • Recognised professional qualification or degree in a sustainability-related discipline.
