Key Accountabilities:

  • To increase energy efficiency, reduce emissions and meet compliance requirements the Program Manager Energy manages and improves our energy management system (EMS)

  • Enable our organisation to follow a systematic approach to achieve continuous improvement of energy performance

  • Be responsible to manage and optimise the overall energy portfolio across all Business Units (BU) and support the BU's development of roadmaps

  • Assess changes affecting the Group performance and identify opportunities for increasing energy efficiency and dissemination of such with relevant stakeholders (HQ based and on site)

  • Act as internal expert and technical lead of the energy manager network

  • Work with producing industries with different requirements and different challenges to face

Reporting to the Group Head of Operations you are responsible for improving the energy performance by optimising and managing the energy portfolio across all of Mondi's business units. From the groundwork of their existing Energy operations, you further develop monitoring systems to control projects that are running at the same time and that pursue similar goals. In addition, you define and set targets to implement and adapt at governmental decisions.

Key Requirements:

  • professional experience in energy management at international level

  • proven track record of achievements in complex multinational energy and change management

  • Proven competence of handling the challenges of a matrix organisation and demonstrated ability to effectively influence and manage diverse stakeholders.

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience in Energy Engineering

  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification, energy audit experience is a plus

  • Working knowledge of cost savings studies and their implementation

  • Proficiency with energy systems analysis tools looking at combined performance of production processes and utilities

  • Be a team player and team builder, with a smart and positive approach having excellent skills in Communication and negotiation, project and change management, time and priorities management

  • Excellent command of English, we consider German or other languages a plus

  • European citizenship and availability to travel frequently (up to 60%)

​They offer a minimum compensation package starting at € 75,000 gross/year on a full-time basis (38 hours/week), with the opportunity of overpayment depending on your experience, skills and qualification.
