Head of Assurance

Acre is delighted to be partnering with Lestari Capital, a conservation finance company based in Southeast Asia. In a newly established role, you will be joining an organisation with decades of collective experience & focus across conversation finance, of which your work will be essential to building upon its existing design of innovative, nature-based products enabling companies to deliver on their sustainability initiatives.

Products include:

• Industry Collectives for leading actors in the palm oil and rubber

• Compliance Solutions for commodities companies to meet sustainability commitments

• Portfolio management services for carbon markets

​

Responsibilities:

The newly developed Head of Technical Assurance role will ensure the project pipeline of Lestari Capital's mechanisms is credible, and robust and delivers the required conversation and social outcomes according to international verification standards through:

​

1) Oversee due-dilligence of Lestari Capital for all projects within the portfolio

• Oversight of monitoring/measuring and evaluation and reporting standards leading to the successful verification of projects and client approvals

• Leading the implementation of internal frameworks and methodology to monitor and report across the project lifecycle, including quality control and verification of projects under CCBS and Plan Vivo standards

2) Lead the Project Teams' R&D of new ESO's ensuring that Lestari Capital remains relevant, innovative and a thought leader in the space.

• Develop Lestari Capital's strategy to ensure that project outcomes remain relevant to evolving market demands and international requirements

• Lead the development of new project typologies, new claims and associated frameworks

Experience Sought:

• Demonstrable experience in land management & sustainability at project and international levels

• Experience in developing and implementing of CCB & Plan Vivo compliant projects across geographies

• Practical knowledge of quantification and monitoring of climate, water, biodiversity and community impacts and targets.

Location: Lestari Capital HQ in Bali or a regional location within Southeast Asia
