This marketplace is cloud and blockchain-enabled, including a holistic toolkit for buyers and suppliers, and incorporates a proprietary credit pricing algorithm that addresses the unique complexities of the plastic marketplace.

About the Role:

The Head of Business Development reports to PCX Markets' CEO, leading and orchestrating our efforts to build a global network of strategic relationships with "Sustainability Partners" (credit buyers) across all target segments, as well as supporting efforts to strengthen and develop the international network of plastic waste aggregators, transporters, and processors for the Plastic Credit Exchange Marketplace. You will be responsible for executing the company's mission to be the pioneering plastic offset company in the region, if not globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities

  • Crafting and responding to proposals and following up on leads to secure plastic offset pledges

  • Execute commercial outreach efforts, developing sales/partnership collateral, partnering with CEO, Founder, and others on go-to-market efforts

  • Carry out commercial operations, including CRM tools, contract design/execution, onboarding content/tools, tracking of retention/LTV, and other key commercial metrics

  • Manage existing partners to maximize retention, growth, and partner satisfaction (e.g., NPS)

  • Conduct feasibility studies, research, and options assessments by consulting with processing, aggregating, or offset Partners to understand their present challenges and crafting environmentally sound offset solutions for their

  • Assessing the processing technologies of companies who would like to add their capacity to the Exchange for their environmental

  • Manage projects, continually iterating the mechanism to address our stakeholders' most importantly

Competencies:

  • Preferably at least five (5) years of work experience in business development, sales, relationship management, and contracting, preferably in the Consulting and Sustainability industries

  • Ideally, with experience in working across countries and various senior, C-level

  • Experience in building long-term partnerships and entrepreneurship

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong relationship skills

  • Has strong organizational skills and work ethic

  • Experience with an international environmental organization would be a big bonus
