Acre is supporting Kingfisher Plc to secure an experienced Energy Manager on a 6 month interim contract. Kingfisher's purpose is to help make better homes accessible for everyone & as a business, has just joined a cohort of visionary leaders who have committed their companies to a 1.5°C target to be recognized in the lead up to COP 26 - emphasizing the implementable, scalable and replicable business solutions that will support a genuinely systemic transformation in reducing the impacts of climate change.
As one of the largest home improvement companies operating through brands such as B&Q, Castorama, Brico Dépôt, Screwfix, TradePoint and Koçtaş, Kingfisher has a large property portfolio with approximately 1,380 stores, supported by a team of 80,000 colleagues - which means this role has the opportunity to help make a significant impact, including supporting the business to transition to renewable energy sources.
This role will report directly into the Chief Transformation and Development Officer and work alongside the Senior leadership team.
Energy Management within large, de-centralised, multi-regional corporate organisations
Experience in implementing SBTi commitments
Experience working within property would be beneficial
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with a supportive advisory / solutions-focussed mindset
Location: HQ is in London but remote working possible (sites across the UK)
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months minimum
