Landsec own and manage some of the most successful and recognisable property assets in the UK with a diverse mix of offices, retail and specialist spaces in London and across the rest of the country. These include developments such as Nova and The Zig Zag Building, SW1 which have transformed Victoria into a vibrant new destination.

Acre is delighted to partner with Landsec to hire a Head of ESG and Sustainability who will, in conjunction with Board and Executive Committee, lead the development of an ESG and Sustainability Strategy that creates value for the business and puts the company at the forefront of both the FTSE 100 and real estate industry.

Landsec's purpose is to bring people together, forming connections and providing the right space for their customers and communities so that business and people can thrive now and for generations to come. The Head of ESG and Sustainability will work cross functionally with the business and wider market to ensure Landsec's purpose is underpinned by first class sustainability, while anticipating and responding to the changing needs of customers, communities, partners and employees.

In addition to leading on Landsec's evolving sustainability strategy, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving business engagement across ESG and sustainability initiatives through excellent stakeholder engagement and business acumen

  • Leading the annual ESG and sustainability reporting process and developing an effective performance monitoring framework

  • Raising Landsec's sustainability profile through external engagement and relevant industry representation

  • Nurturing and developing an ambitious team within ESG, Community and Sustainability as well as fostering good sustainability practices across the organisation's wider business functions

You will bring a market leading network to ensure that Landsec's approach to sustainability remains at the cutting edge, realising its full potential, and may bring valuable knowledge of sustainability from outside of the real estate market.

You will also have:

  • The ability to build relationships and engage with a variety of teams and stakeholders feeding sustainability principles into both company wide and business unit specific strategies

  • The ability to influence and make recommendations at a senior/Board level on areas from strategy to policy, governance, process, reporting and business planning

  • A demonstrable track record in delivering effective sustainability strategy within a corporate and a commercial environment

  • The analytical skills to develop and monitor the roadmap and KPIs to ensure goals are achieved

  • Experience of managing a large budget and circa 10 reports

At Landsec, ESG is at the forefront of commercial decision making, providing a great platform for a practitioner that is ambitious, creative and attuned to the long-term value of corporate sustainability.

If you have the approach and experience to successfully curate and drive the next iteration of Landsec's sustainability journey within a collaborative environment, please apply below.
