Acre are pleased to have been retained on an exclusive basis by an exciting, high profile property developer to identify their new Head of Health and Safety. In this exciting, newly created role, you will report into the COO and be responsible for the creation of their Health and Safety strategy covering their iconic estates and projects under development.

Our client is looking for an inspiring individual who can deliver tangible outputs through highly effective project and people management skills. You must be able to drive change by collaborating with project CEOs and supply chain to deliver tangible outcomes.

Some key objectives include:

  • Development and implementation of a dynamic health & safety strategy, with a people culture at its core

  • Leading the business to meet and exceed legal compliance in health and safety, developing and then maintaining a positive health and safety culture

  • Develop the health and safety management system to meet best practice standards whilst reflecting the needs of the business

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to define performance benchmarks and produce procedures which set employees up for success

  • Promote the dynamic approach of their business through networking opportunities

  • Work with the management team to evolve and adapt the business to changing business, cultural or legislative needs

The successful candidate will have exceptional communications and engagement skills combined with the ability to develop long-term working relationships. You will be highly adaptable and resilient to ensure success across a growing, fast-paced environment.

Key skills and attributes:

  • Senior health and safety professional with extensive experience, operating at a strategic level

  • You'll be able to influence and make recommendations at a senior level on areas from strategy to policy, process, reporting and business planning

  • You'll bring solid project and budget management skills combined with high energy to set dynamic pace of delivery

  • Experience from either property, development, construction or professional services with an emphasis on fire safety

  • CMIOSH or equivalent preferred
