We are looking for a senior fundraiser but this is no usual investment fundraising role: you will be responsible for raising capital from institutional investors who are looking to make a social impact as well as a financial return.

The role is with Resonance, a pioneer and leader in UK impact investment over the last 20 years, creating and managing multi-award-winning impact property funds. It's this pioneering spirit that Resonance needs from its new Head of Investor Relations, who will be at the forefront of growing its AUM from £300m to £500m and eventually, £1bn. This growth in AUM will change lives, enabling Resonance to provide more safe, secure, affordable homes for adults and children across a range of impact themes, including homelessness, learning disability and vulnerable women.

The role sits within Resonance's investment team which develops innovative investment strategies and creates and manages a range of impact investment funds, focused on the capital needs of multiple social enterprise partners and delivering both financial returns and impact for their investors. The team now successfully runs 7 funds in the impact property fund management space. As part of their ambitious growth strategy, the team is seeking dedicated capital raising expertise to build upon and continue fundraising institutional investment for existing and new impact investment funds.

Location: London, Manchester or Launceston (with flexible working opportunities)

Salary: Part-time (3-4 days per week). £65,000 - £70,000 pro rata

Resonance also offers flexible working practices, and participation in its Employee Benefit Trust, which currently has a 5% stake in the firm - a number which will double once it reaches £500m AUM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary focus on the identification of, and raising funds from, institutional investors for Resonance's impact property funds

  • Driving forward institutional investor relationships through coordinating and participating in introductory and follow-up meetings with investors

  • Maintaining a focused database of target institutional investors and driving progress to closing of investment, including reporting of activity pipeline to senior management

  • Working with Resonance's Fund Management and Communications teams to further develop the investor marketing strategy

  • Overseeing and coordinating processes to achieve investment closes on funds, in conjunction with Fund Management, Legal and Compliance teams, including anticipating due diligence needs of institutional investors

  • Secondary focus on assisting other team members in identification of investors from wider investor groups for Resonance's pilot funds within its "Impact Labs", which may also include foundations, family offices and HNW individuals

Experience Sought:

  • Experience within the institutional investment market and in raising capital from institutional investors

  • Highly professional and ethical approach in representing the company and marketing its products

  • Extremely strong networking, interpersonal, influencing and sales skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Willing to travel within the UK and work with colleagues in multiple locations using appropriate communications technology

  • Enjoy rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in - do whatever it takes to get the job done
