About the team
Like any growing and ambitious business, they are seeking self-starters who can own their workload and shift priorities on a day-to-day basis.
They are looking for someone to lead the development and delivery of their Life Cycle Assessment capability. This person will manage the LCA team, working directly with the Head of Sustainability, external academic partners, and internal engineering capability. They will be responsible for developing the data and LCA calculation tooling, delivering a leading, first-of-its-kind dynamic LCA capability and associated UX, and developing LCA-related services for clients.
About The Role
Product Manage the continued development of the LCA capability, working alongside engineers, UX designers and academic partners to take the MVP solution to the next level.
Architect the data eco-system required to deliver LCA on all the products, defining the workflow for onboarding new products into the LCA world. Identify gaps in data and find alternative sources from a combination of inventory databases, academic studies, manufacturer/company data and publicly available sources, delivering the integration of these into our LCA solution and a scalable suite of inventories.
Work with academic partners to infuse their capability with the latest approaches to continually improve the methodology and accuracy. Push the boundary on outside-the-box thinking and innovation in the LCA space, to enable scaling of LCA with the platform and customers.
Regularly engage with the sourcing team to understand product pipeline and support manufacturer engagement, to build leading proprietary data from our supply-chain as it scales.
Work with clients to identify user needs and design a leading and fit-for-purpose LCA front-end. Provide expertise to clients on a needs basis, rooted in LCA.
Manage the day-to-day activities and development of a team of analysts, including project management and career development.
About you
Experienced LCA professional - you've built complex LCAs using advanced LCA tools and inventory databases, working with imperfect data (packaging LCA experience is preferred). You're comfortable traversing large and complex LCI databases and manipulating data to ingest into LCA tools.
Problem solver - you don't take 'no' for an answer, are always looking for a new solution and lean into partnering with others to find one.
Strategic with an eye for detail - you are comfortable in technical academic content, with an ability to zoom out to look at user needs and integration into broader platform.
Excellent communicator and relationship builder - you are able to clearly articulate yourself and are experienced working cross-functionally and in building relationships.
