Are you looking for a position to leverage your extensive sustainability project management experience in a strategic and impactful role?

Aliaxis, a world-leading manufacturer of advanced piping systems, is looking for a Head of Sustainability EMEA who will set and lead the sustainability strategy for the region, in line the Group's (corporate) sustainability strategy. Leading the discussions and engagement with regional business and functional leaders, you will define the sustainability roadmap and milestones to achieve sustainability goals and targets.

Aliaxis 2025 Sustainability Strategy has three focus areas:

  • Reducing our Green House Gas emissions by 75% per ton of production by transitioning to 100% renewable electricity and via energy efficiency improvements

  • Increasing the use of plastics recyclate in applications where regulations and standards permit

  • Finding innovative ways to manage resources, focusing on access to clean water sanitation and water conservation for positive societal and environmental impacts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and execute the EMEA Sustainability Strategy, road map and coordinate its realization in alignment with group sustainability strategy & objectives

  • Instigate, implement and oversee the programmes and actions to bring about impactful and positive change to our direct operations, products and supply chain, including but not limited to: Reducing the Green House Gas (GHG) emissions associated with our operations via the purchase of renewable energy, installation of on-site renewable energy and energy efficiency programmes

  • Report to Group on KPIs & metrics with appropriate monitoring, reporting & analysis whilst playing an active role in the development of new Group Sustainability policies, processes and systems.

  • Help identify local initiatives and programmes to source and use plastics recyclate in applications where product regulations and standards permit

  • Identify opportunities to further reduce water consumption in our operations

  • Drive programmes to achieve Zero Waste to Landfill

  • Seek opportunities to eliminate or reduce unnecessary packaging

  • Identify initiatives, external partnerships, and programmes to advance water management and sanitation opportunities in EMEA

Key Requirements:

  • Master's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering or related degrees

  • At least ten years' experience, preferably in the chemicals or plastics sectors

  • Clear evidence of experience in designing and executing sustainability strategies, particularly relating to GHG reduction and circular projects

  • Extensive project management and leadership experience in diverse project settings

  • Be passionate about sustainability and making a positive impact

  • Proven track record of successful program implementation in complex, international and multi-stakeholder context

  • Familiar with management system standards, environmental sustainability and environmental regulations

  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills. Able to communicate with all levels in the organization and demonstrate strong stakeholder management

  • Have proven experience in achieving behavioural change in a complex, operational environment through influencing, facilitation, and coaching skills
