We are currently supporting an innovative emerging markets private credit investor to launch a new strategy centred around decarbonisation in global emerging markets. The fund will be backing SMEs across Asia, Africa and Latin America in the renewable energy, electric vehicle (EV), energy efficiency, food and agriculture, mobility and logistics sectors. Working directly with the board, this individual will be responsible for developing and subsequently leading, a team of investment professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Refine and develop the fund's investment strategy, deciding upon which geographies and sectors to prioritise.

  • Oversee and manage the fund's investment process from start to finish.

  • Lead and grow a team of investment professionals.

  • Manage the fund's risk and ensure commercial rate returns are delivered for the fund's LP based.

  • Support the firm's leadership with current and future fundraising efforts.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience and track record as a leader in emerging markets credit investment.

  • Deep understanding and track record of investing in private credit investments into climate-orientated SMEs.

  • Experience leading and managing a team of investment professionals.

  • Responsibility for investment decision-making at a senior level.

  • Familiarity and network within the global development finance institution space.
