Head of Sustainable Investment

Acre is partnering on a retained basis with a European pensions investment and advisory firm to appoint a newly created Head of Sustainable Investment. This appointment will build on an existing commitment to the importance that environment, social and governance (ESG) factorsplay in investment success for this ambitious and entrepreneurial firm.

The expectation of this new leadership role is to facilitate new ways of investment thinking and capital allocation, so that sustainability can be fully harnessed to be a driver of value creation.

The investment business is global and wide-ranging covering derivative strategies, multi-asset LDI and risk management strategies, along with investing in third party funds covering both traditional and alternative assets, liquid and illiquid investments.

This is an excitingremit to create a new firm-wide sustainable investment strategy to integrate ESG factors into all areas of the business, to contribute to new product development and client expansion.

Sought

• Experience of creating and leading on new strategy, plus experience of integrating ESG/sustainability into investment product, processes, systems and reporting.

• An individual who is passionate about financial markets and sustainable investing, and keen to build better outcomes - not only from a financial perspective but also from and an environmental and social perspective.

• We are open to a wide variety of backgrounds and so welcome applicants with ESG/sustainable investment

  experience gained in an investment manager, asset owner or investment consultancy firm.
