Acre is working in partnership with a FTSE 250 business to identify a Head of Sustainable Sourcing for a 12-month fixed term contract, with the potential for it to turn into a permanent appointment within the business.

​

The role of responsible supply chains is already well established across the organisation and the Head of Sustainable Sourcing and Policy will manage a team of three and work closely with a large global sustainability network.

​

A collaborative and 'beyond compliance' approach will be key to your success in the role as you'll work closely with Public Affairs, Compliance, Procurement and other key teams to form policies and responses to up to the minute global decision making on sustainability.

​

You'll get the opportunity to work across a range of international supply chains across various pilots to explore new raw materials, meaning you'll work nimbly and need to build strong relationships internally and externally to draw on cross-industry expertise in response to new challenges.

​

You will have:

  • Experience of sustainable or responsible sourcing within agriculture, forestry, or a similar industry

  • Knowledge of EU legislation in relation to sustainability paired with the ability to condense often complex information to external facing colleagues and stakeholders

  • A nimble and flexible working style; capable of bringing teams together to build consensus on key topics and gain holistic insight
