CEF is the UK's largest electrical wholesaler, with almost 400 stores nationwide. Their Director of Sustainability and ESG is looking to hire a Head of Sustainable Supply Chain to build a better, more sustainable supply base ensuring a higher standard of environmental and social impacts.

The initial focus will be on the management of the Group Ecovadis framework, data collection and development of a responsible sourcing strategy that works in collaboration with supplier partners.

You will be responsible for:

  • Becoming the first point of contact for key internal stakeholders, internal operations and leadership on sustainable procurement topics

  • Developing procurement strategies and processes to facilitate CEF bringing sustainability to the heart of what they do

  • Creating a significant impact and contributing to building and transforming CEF's sustainability agenda in line with the wider B Corp commitment and framework

  • Collaborating closely with new and existing supply chain partners by producing individual action plans to help develop sustainable supply chains for the organisation

  • Design, set and execute policies and standards to contextualise CEF's knowledge of their suppliers' products, helping drive sustainable practices internally and for CEF's partners

This role will suit someone who has a passion for building relationships with shared value and shared impact and embedding sustainability across complex supply chains. You will be a proactive individual with strong communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.

You will:

  • Bring a strong technical knowledge of delivering sustainability sourcing objectives within a corporate setting

  • Have a history of implementing sustainable sourcing strategies and measuring their success

  • Be a naturally collaborative partner, possessing excellent engagement and diplomacy skills with a strong ability to persuade and influence to deliver strategy

  • Have a pragmatic and commercial attitude to sustainability within an entrepreneurial, ambitious business

  • Have an authentic passion for championing and driving sustainability throughout the business and externally across the industry
