A leading property development and asset management organisation that owns and manages a number of London's most iconic buildings has engaged Acre to find their new Health, Safety & Quality Manager.
This role is to assist the Head of Health and Safety in protecting the interest, business, assets and well-being of the organisation, its tenants, employees and the general public from harm and risk to their health, safety and well-being. We have been tasked with identifying a highly motivated and enthusiastic Health and Safety professional to work closely with our client to support the day-to-day operations of the assets and implement a varied change programme of activities to enhance the Health and Safety policy and culture.
Key areas of responsibility:
Deputise for the Head of Health of Safety in their absence, managing the day-to-day operation of the Health and Safety Department, helping to ensure Health and Safety support is available during core business hours.
Support the Head of Health and Safety in developing, implementing, and maintaining the group's Health, Safety and Well-Being Policy, Fire Safety Policy, Quality Policy, and management procedures.
Manage the day-to-day Health and Safety operations within the Head Office, including (but not limited to) Health and Safety inspections, Health and Safety inductions for new employees, and sending H&S communications/bulletins. Also, to recruit and organise training for Fire Marshals, Mental Health champions, and First Aiders - being their key point of contact.
Develop and maintain monthly and quarterly H&S management reports, including supporting the build of the H&S Committee Report and all Board Reports every quarter.
Manage the Health and Safety and Quality Management System in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 standards and certification.
It is vital the post holder has a high level of gravitas and engagement, delivering their work in an open, energetic and enthusiastic way.
The successful individual will have:
Previous experience within Health and Safety in, ideally, a property or facilities management environment while managing H&S management systems to OSHAS 18001 or ISO 45001 standards.
A personality that permits both diplomacy and forcefulness with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels within the Company.
A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrable effective project management of H&S initiatives.
Be able to attend the office in central London between Tuesdays and Thursdays.
