Acre is delighted to be partnered with a global Commercial Real Estate and Investment firm to appoint an HSE Associate Director.

In this role, you will support and report into the Health & Safety Director. Your expert knowledge and skills will help create the H&S strategy and develop and deliver a robust platform to ensure consistent quality across for all mixed-use assets and to promote a positive health, safety, and sustainability culture.

You will need to be a highly capable and inspirational individual who can effect positive change. You will be the type of person who will relish this challenge and have the ability to prove, with demonstrable examples, how you have improved health and safety culture, behaviour and performance through your actions in previous positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a key member in creating HSE strategies and objectives, ultimately ensuring it is embedded across the UK

  • Developing and reviewing internal policies are consistent across the UK including mixed-use assets, in line with global standards and their client's requirements are in compliance with best industry practice such as ISO 9001, 14001, 45001

  • Developing the strategy for HSE risk assessments and auditing, whilst considering how risks could be reduced by making changes to working practices complying with legislation and setting internal policies

  • Reviewing the organisations national strategy for HSE learning and development

  • Managing the HSE team and ensuring they are working consistently, introducing practical and effective methods, whilst promoting HSE working practices

  • Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with the businesses clients, while implementing strategies to improve portfolio performance

You Will Need:

  • Strong demonstrable experience of the above responsibilities

  • Be a chartered member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH)

  • Ideally have a Property, Construction or FM background

  • Competent with ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 or similar

  • Formal qualifications within environmental management system and auditing or have safety management system and auditing qualifications

It is essential that you have experience with risk management strategy development implementation, monitoring and analysis of risk management system performance, environmental risk and resource evaluation and management and development and delivery of HS&E training.

If you have excellent attention to detail with high-level reporting skills at board level, are an excellent communicator with outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism, along with all the other required skills stated above, this could be a position well suited to you.
