Acre have partnered with one of the world's leading impact investing banks to identify a Capital Advisory Director to lead a highly experienced team in the UK, focused on supporting sustainable development emerging markets.

Our client is a well-established leader in their field with over £600m in mobilized capital to date, financing solutions and scaling companies focused on themes such as ecosystems restoration, clean energy, women's economic empowerment and sustainable agriculture.

Specifically, responsibilities will include:

  • You will lead the origination, business development, execution and delivery of equity & debt capital structuring, capital raising mandates, M&A and transaction related services,

  • You will lead engagement with the firm's public, private and philanthropic investor base across EMEA,

  • Sourcing prospective client relationships and cultivating investor networks, both directly and through relationships as well as managing term sheet and documentation negotiation through to transaction closing,

  • Utilizing your in-depth knowledge of local markets, extensive experience in corporate finance and access to global investor networks, you will help clients grow, prosper and contribute to emerging economies in effective and socially responsive ways.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • A track record in delivering small to medium Capital Advisory, Capital Raising and M&A/ Structuring projects at least one of the following themes, renewables, clean tech/off grid, agriculture,

  • A deep understanding of emerging market economies and the associated risks and opportunities of investing in them,

  • Significant experience in managing investments/financing/structuring including the implementation of growth and/or improvement projects across portfolio companies or corporates,

  • A degree in finance, business or a related discipline, as well as excellent academics (MBA or Masters preferred).
