A fast-growing fintech start-up at the forefront of developments in Impact Investing is seeking an Impact Equity Analyst for their team.

The company work with some of the world's leading Investment Management and Private Equity firms to assist them in measuring the social and environmental impact of their investment portfolios.

They do this through a variety of approaches: conducting fundamental analysis of companies sat within investment portfolios, developing innovative, evidence-based methodologies, and developing extensive data on social and environmental performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of impact measurement methodologies to cover more companies and investment portfolios in collaboration with clients;

  • Identify scientific literature, industry reports, academic studies, etc., that underpin environmental impact estimations

  • Work on impact assessment around key themes such as Agriculture, Biodiversity and/or Natural Capital

  • Communicate the results to clients using Excel, PowerPoint and internal tools

  • Scope out new data sources, methods and metrics to expand the impact database

  • Track impact measurement trends and identify opportunities for internal and external collaboration

Key Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or other related fields

  • Experienced Equity or Investment Analyst with exposure to measuring company analysis

  • Experience within ESG/Sustainability/Impact assessment, ideally on environmental themes, i.e. Natural Capital, Biodiversity or Agriculture

  • Familiar with sustainability frameworks and standards, i.e., SDGs, EU Taxonomy, SASB, GRI

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills and advanced Excel

  • Ability to translate technical and literature searches, research or reports clearly and concisely to the wider business

  • Experience working in data-heavy environments with large financial and non-financial datasets

  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
