Our client is a large commercial real estate assets owner in Europe. The company was founded only recently and already owns and operates the assets that have been built up over the last several years by its parent company. With a pan-European footprint, our client has approximately 1,000 assets across eight major European economies. The properties, which are predominantly located within and around major cities, total more than 9 million square meters. The portfolio also spans urban centres across Europe's largest economies, including the UK, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands and the Nordics. The company will continue to expand its portfolio in existing and new markets.

We have an exciting interim project which approximately will take 3-6 month. This project is all about creating a framework for the organisation's sustainability strategy. From the groundwork of their existing ESG framework, you will further define baselines, ambitions and set targets for the short/midterm and manage reporting. You will also work directly with a diverse range of stakeholders including senior leaders and local teams across the globe.

The key deliverables for this project will be built around:

  • Creating an inventory roadmap of the current sustainability features within the portfolio as well as the company's sustainability processes

  • Further developing and implement the Client's ESG Framework, as well as assembling and managing a dedicated ESG team

  • Sourcing and creating tools/processes that accurately measure their progress

  • Establishing an ESG reporting strategy, first internally and later externally as well, following industry's best practices on sustainability reporting standards

  • Setting and reviewing short and long-term ESG-related goals and targets for, among others, EDD, LED lighting, solar PV and carbon emission

We are looking for a seasoned interim manager with experience in advising real estate organisations to improve their sustainability performance.

Ideally, you will have experience working with comparable clients and have excellent knowledge of ESG data collection and analysis, ESG reporting and development of stakeholder engagement.

You will also bring experience setting a successful strategy and assessing a business' progress with a view to improve its engagement and impact. Through stakeholder engagement, peer group reviews and analysis of a business' operations, you will support the delivery of an ambitious but achievable strategy which differentiates our client in the market.

The company language is English, ideally, you also speak Dutch and French and/or German.
