Are you a Senior Climate Specialist seeking to develop further within an FTSE100 business with ambitious sustainability commitments and strong executive engagement?

​

Acre is partnering with a large, multi-national retail group listed on the London Stock Exchange to support ongoing strategic and climate matters on an initial 3-month assignment.

​

With recently verified Science Based Target and Forest Positive commitments, you'll have the opportunity to think strategically about how the organization measures and communicates sustainability performance, playing a crucial role in ensuring these targets are delivered.

​

What are the key objectives of this opportunity?

  • Leading the creation and publishing of a formal climate transition plan for the following year, in line with the recent framework announced by the government

  • Advise on TCFD-related matters within this year's annual report

  • Input strategic direction by engaging, managing and educating key stakeholders within the finance team all the way up to the c-suite level

  • Manage climate strategy in accordance with science-based targets, assessing progress continually and providing updates at the board level

A bit about you:

  • Thorough and relevant technical expertise of climate impact within a large corporate environment and confidence in driving strategic initiatives

  • Exposure to relevant frameworks such as TCFD and GHG Protocol

  • Strong communication and leadership qualities with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders

  • Capability of multi-tasking and working in a busy environment, adapting to changes during growth periods

  • Demonstrated experience in project management, stakeholder relations, and organizational skills
