An international law firm is looking for a forward-thinking candidate to join their team as a Sustainable Procurement Specialist. Using your expertise, you will be required to implement all ESG aspects to ensure a sustainable programme regarding their supply chain. You will also be integral in creating a high level of engagement and understanding of the importance of ESG internally and externally and continuing to raise the team's standards.
This is a short-term interim contract for a minimum of three months and can be completed remotely or on-site in a flexible working pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
Working with the procurement team and key stakeholders to improve ESG strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management
Managing a newly-launched project with sustainability consultants to design Reduction Pathways and Residual Offsetting Strategy for the successful delivery of a published Carbon Reduction Plan, with a view to SBTi submission going forward
Monitoring carbon emissions data capture and reporting, through a newly-acquired software platform, for external reporting
Designing enhancements to ensure everyday sustainable sourcing processes
Supplier selection using metrics and targets based on market methodologies
Adapting and managing risks associated with ESG
Participating in specialist topic working groups internally and externally representing the procurement function
Specification:
Experience in ESG-focused procurement
Experienced in indirect procurement tenders, contracts and supplier management.
Influencing and negotiation with stakeholders and suppliers
