The investment company's goal is to transform the global food system by investing in solutions that facilitate sustained behavioural change and eliminate the consumption of animal protein products and provides seed to growth funding to entrepreneurs developing plant, fungi, fermented, and cultivated replacements to animal products. The organisation partners with entrepreneurs developing innovative plant-based and cultivated replacements to animal products, including meat, seafood, dairy, and eggs. They support the founders by sharing culinary knowledge, understanding of consumer habits, experience in food manufacturing, and a global network to catalyse investments and build lasting companies.

Over the past few years, the company has invested in some of the world's most exciting plant-based companies and is now looking to further expand its portfolio across the world.

For the regional office based in Amsterdam, we are now aiming to fill the newly created role of investment analyst / associate.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting market and industry research

  • Identifying and analysing new investment opportunities

  • Modelling and structuring investments and supporting due diligence processes

  • Supporting acquisition and growth strategies of portfolio companies

  • Following up of the portfolio companies

  • Preparing and executing potential exits

Profile:

  • A passion for sustainability and the transition to a plant-based food system

  • Excellent university education in Economic Sciences / Business, ideally complemented by an MBA or a Masters in Finance

  • Excellent analytical and intellectual skills

  • Good communication and conviction skills, decisiveness, pragmatic attitude, initiative-driven and passionate

  • Affinity with entrepreneurship

  • 1 - 3 years of working experience in private equity / venture capital, business / corporate development, investment banking and / or consulting

  • Fluent in Dutch and English, German and/or French are of advantage
