Key Responsibilities

Engagement

  • Support the development and delivery of engagement strategy across Europe, as well as globally across a number of relevant environmental, social and governance themes

  • Lead and support corporate engagement through the development of regular dialogue and meetings at Board and Executive Committee level and with senior managers at allocated companies on all relevant corporate governance, long-term strategy and environmental and social risks, in line with agreed KPIs.

Voting

  • Support development and maintenance of EOS' voting policy and proxy voting guidelines

  • Make voting recommendations to clients consistent with agreed voting policies at prioritised or escalated companies

Advocacy

  • Develop and maintain a positive external profile by representing my client in relevant committees and working groups

Key Requirements

  • Knowledge and passion for improved corporate responsibility and governance, covering environmental and social issues such as climate change, human rights and also corporate governance (board composition, executive remuneration, protection of shareholder rights).

  • Experience in proxy voting services, ideally, or an interest in learning this skillset rapidly.

  • Knowledge in a complementary field(s) such as strategy, investor relations, finance, accountancy, internal audit, risk management or investment/ business consultancy, equity or debt research or legal advisory services. This may be in a corporation, government, academia, NGO or other.

  • Relevant academic qualifications or apprenticeships.
