As an Investment Manager, you will have a crucial role in realising this vision, as your expertise on the energy transition and its implications in business opportunities will enable you to successfully materialize the acquisition of ventures that fit within SHV Energy's Renewable Energy Strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and screen acquisition targets that fit within SHV Energy renewable solution strategy
Actively participate in defining priority segments and markets for acquisition targets
Conduct and oversee market research to better understand market dynamics and key players
Reach out to potential acquisition targets, explore strategic fit, actionability, and investment rational
Engage with advisors to get insight and access to targets
Build up a network to get access to investment opportunities
Build up a network among European companies active in commercial and industrial energy efficiency
Actively engage with advisors active and key stakeholders in energy efficiency and distributed energy
Lead due diligence and deal process for M&A processes
Lead M&A process with the support of M&A team
Coordinate due diligence with internal and external specialists
Structure and negotiate transactions with shareholders and management of targets
Prepare investment proposals and Board presentations
Formulate growth strategies for portfolio companies and support management in delivering on that strategy
Work closely with the management of portfolio companies to deliver on improvement potential identified in due diligence
Define growth strategy for portfolio companies
Support management of portfolio companies to deliver on growth, new product development, and continuous improvement
Identify and deliver on synergies between portfolio companies and SHV Energy BUs
Build and share expertise on the energy transition and its implication and business opportunities
Monitor energy transition market trends and development
Distill relevant market trends to adjust and refine SHV Energy's renewable solution strategy
Provide SHV Energy with a broader perspective on the energy transition and implications for SHV Energy
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in business, engineering, finance, or any other relevant field of study
Minimal 6 years' work experience in energy efficiency or renewable energy sectors; ability to lead deals end to end, motivate & nurture a team, due diligence management, financial modeling, commercial structuring
Relevant network in the energy sector across Europe
Experience in working with private equity or asset management
Ideally experience in M&A, due diligence, and valuation, a record of accomplishment of successful investment, board representation, portfolio company support, and portfolio management
Excellent command of English and ideally, French or German
Strategic thinker, comfortable analysing complexity and identifying the core opportunities and challenges
Strong comminutor and networker
Result oriented, flexible in approach to deliver on objectives, and enjoy cooperation
