Are you a seasoned financial professional looking to contribute with your expertise to the mobilisation of capital for the protection and restoration of tropical landscapes?

Acre is supporting an emerging alternative asset manager focused on financing the transition of major global industries towards sustainable, Paris-aligned, deforestation-free and biodiverse positive industries. Looking to generate long-term alpha for investors by financing the climate champions, who will lead the transition of key sectors.

Currently, the fund is seeking to find an Investment Manager to support the fast growth of its activities and to drive the sourcing and execution of new investments in key geographies.

Reporting to the Company's Board of Directors, as an Investment Manager, you will be supporting and collaborating to further develop the investment strategy and selecting and monitoring appropriate investments for its implementation. You will work alongside other investment team members as well as other departments.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Assist Deal Leads in sourcing new leads in key geographies.

  • Participation in all aspects of due diligence for potential investments.

  • Performing deep credit risk assessments, analysing financial statements, and stress testing financial models of potential and existing clients.

  • Assist in the financial structuring and negotiation of investments.

  • Development of presentation materials and proposals. This includes developing and refining presentation themes, data gathering and synthesis, and constructing professional presentation materials.

  • Active monitoring of existing transactions, including the assessment of financial and operational results.

  • Quarterly reporting, including investment write-ups and valuations.

  • Supporting the leadership team with developing new ideas by performing market research, building financial models, developing investment strategies, etc.

You bring:

  • Advanced university degree in international business, economics, finance, or similar. Professional qualifications such as CFA/CP/CPA/CIMA are highly appreciated.

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in Investment Management, Private Markets, Investment Banking, or other relevant sectors; involving quantitative financial analysis and modelling.

  • Experience with private market investments (private debt, loans, or equity) and ability to source, conduct due diligence, and monitor such investments.

  • Strong Excel modelling ability is required, and experience with platforms such as S&P Capital IQ or Bloomberg is nice to have.

  • Ability to interpret data and provide relevant conclusions/recommendations.

  • Excellent organisational skills and a strong work ethic.

  • Fluency in English is required, knowledge of further global languages (French, Spanish, etc.) is beneficial.

  • Experience in emerging markets is a plus but not necessary.
