Demand for blue foods - food from aquatic sources - is expected to double by 2050. Innovation in this sector is desperately needed, and Hatch has been committed to backing the firms that are developing the necessary solutions to this critical issue since 2017.

Hatch is a specialised sustainable aquaculture and alternative-protein-based seafood investment firm. It is part of the Hatch group with three additional business units: a consulting unit, a seafood news outlet, and a startup program unit. Since its inception, the organisation has made 39 investments, raised its first fund, built two companies from scratch and run four startup accelerator programs.

Now, as it continues to selectively grow its small team, we are supporting the hire of a Partner to join the investment team. The expansion is needed as part of its new fund launch, the Blue Revolution Fund, a growth-stage VC fund focused on the future of aquaculture and seafood alternatives. This role can be flexibly based in Europe, and will include frequent travel to Berlin.
