Sustainability and social value have been at the heart of the business over the last 170 years and with their new sector-leading sustainability strategy, 'Now or Never', there is no better time to make an impact.
You will sit within Willmott Dixon's Group Sustainability Team, and lead on the creation and delivery of a bespoke sustainability strategy for the Fortem business, in line with Willmott Dixon's ambitious 'Now or Never' strategy.
Fortem is a property services and maintenance business and a key part of the Willmott Dixon family of companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop and deliver a new sustainability strategy, policy, and targets for Fortem
Be part of Group Sustainability at Willmott Dixon and work closely with both the Head of Innovation & Partnerships and Chief Sustainability Officer, before transitioning into Fortem as the focus of the role evolves from strategy development to leadership and delivery
Create the sustainability strategy by visiting different sites across the UK, conducting research internally and externally, and understanding the business
Develop collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders and build trusted relationships
Your Experience:
A background and a strong understanding of sustainable management practices
Significant experience in low carbon solutions and carbon reduction
Practical knowledge of decarbonisation of fleet and transportation
Strong knowledge of policy and legislative development in sustainability
An affinity with the property services or repairs and maintenance sectors would be a plus
The ability to consume large amounts of data and utilise it to develop a clear and concise strategy
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape Fortem's sustainability strategy from scratch. Once launched, you will lead the implementation of the strategy and the achievement of the demanding targets that you have set.
