Acre has partnered with a global innovator in utility-scale power production who has created an entirely novel technology that provides the cleanest, cheapest and most reliable power services to date. Their technology is built off existing infrastructure and is ready to deploy today.
As they are scaling their global footprint, there is an increasing need to add research capabilities to their Research & Development team. Resultantly, we are looking for an expert in CO2 Process Modelling to lead early-stage R&D projects determining the feasibility of the latest CO2 utilization and adsorption technologies.
You'd be responsible for:
The extensive use of Aspen Modeling to design new CO2 processes, model new CO2 power cycles, and model new CO2 repurposing technologies
Developing laboratory experiments to validate said models and progress new technologies through the technology readiness scale
Working with senior and principal subject matter experts in different domains to model the integration of CO2 into existing power processes
Developing life cycle and techno-economic assessments to prove the viability of the new technologies you evaluate
To be considered, you have:
A B.S. in Chemical Engineering (M.S. or PhD is preferred) with 3-5 years of relevant experience (research/postdoc experience counts)
Expert-level ability to use Aspen Plus to model and optimize chemical and gas processing technologies
Process design and general process engineering experience is a plus
Experience modelling CO2 adsorption and/or CO2 absorption processes
Experience in the field of CO2 utilization and/or sequestration is a plus
Experience working in a lab conducting hands-on experimentation and the associated data synthesis
If you want to work for one of the most important energy disruptors of our time, please apply.
