Acre is supporting an award-winning consultancy specialising in ethical trade, human rights, labour standards and international development in the search for a Senior Consultant on a 12 month, fixed-term contract.

In this role you, will support a wide range of client work in a variety of sectors worldwide, leading projects, developing products and services, and growing accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing accurate, objective and high-quality work; making balanced, considered recommendations based on robust evidence coupled with creativity, innovation and practical thinking

  • Communicating with clients and stakeholders in a professional, objective and clear manner, submitting reports and materials in line with agreed timelines

  • Proactively and independently lead, manage and grow a number of medium to large clients and supporting the growth of larger accounts

  • Independently writing clear, concise, proposals to engage potential clients

  • Conducting standard fieldwork investigartions in the UK and internationally either in-person or remotely

In this role you will have the opportunity to significantly develop ethical trade related skills and specialise in one or more core services: social audits and investigations; remediation programmes; and training and organisational change.

Your Experience:

  • 3-4 years' experience of delivering work across the ethical trade or sustainability sectors

  • Project management experience, able to work independently and manage complex challenges

  • Commercially minded, comfortable with business development including proposal writing and client meetings

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Willingness and ability to travel to other regions up to 30% of your time

  • Practical knowledge of ethical trade/responsible sourcing / the social compliance agenda beyond compliance activities
