A leading UK-based Asset Owner is seeking a Corporate Governance Senior Analyst to sit within their Responsible Investment team. You will be part of a company that has an excellent reputation for progressive and impactful Responsible Investment work.
Your focus is to look at the corporate governance themes and manage key proxy voting processes. The role will provide you with the opportunity to broaden your exposure to cover Environmental and Social aspects, including work on integration, stewardship and research.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage proxy voting processes, lead annual reviews and update voting guidelines
Support the development of existing responsible investment programmes and maximise impact by close collaboration with peers
Manage relationships with research providers that provide ratings and analysis used for ESG, ethical screening and voting purposes
Support engagement with companies on social and environmental issues, and engage with policymakers
Support ESG integration into investment decision-making across asset classes, including engagement with external managers
Manage relationships with external and internal stakeholders and respond to queries on RI movements
Key experience:
Corporate governance background gained in a commercial setting (investor or plc)
Managed proxy voting activities, e.g. ensuring timeliness and completeness of the execution of proxy votes, queries on proxy voting and leading annual or quarterly proxy meetings
Demonstrate the ability to deliver on strategic objectives with tangible outcomes and the drive to take an innovative and bold approach to ESG issues
Solid understanding of ESG issues in the investor landscape
Excellent team player
