You can be a pivotal part of this amazing journey! They are looking for a Senior Decarbonisation Manager for their air freight business to join their Logistics and Services Decarbonisation Team. This position can be based in either Copenhagen or Rotterdam.

More about the role:

As a Senior Decarbonisation Manager for the Air Freight Business, you will join the Logistics and Services Decarbonisation team and work closely with the Air Freight (freight forwarding and an internal aircraft fleet) and Fuel Sourcing teams. You will be responsible for the overall air decarbonisation strategy and sustainable air fuel sourcing, in particular, leading the cross-functional development and execution while providing subject matter expertise and driving innovation to decarbonise air freight. You'll be the pivotal point in driving decarbonisation in a growing yet highly emission-intensive business, helping to decarbonise in a cost-effective and speedy way.

You will:

  • Prioritise air freight decarbonisation levers in line with the overall APMM strategy; produce and update the transition roadmap, including financial and emission impact and establish the KPI system

  • Own and drive the sustainable aviation fuel sourcing strategy and roadmap, including volume plan, sourcing opportunities and risk management

  • Assess the sustainable aviation fuel market, scout for opportunities and establish partnerships and connections

  • Prepare investment proposals supported by the finance team

  • Assess innovation and start-ups in the aviation space and lead strategic investment cases end-to-end, from formulating the case to decision-making and value creation afterwards

  • Prepare and present management reports and drive decision making

  • Represent Maersk's Air decarbonisation activities with stakeholders and in external conferences

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have 5+ years of experience in air transport, aviation fuel sourcing or development, management consulting or related industries

  • Have a background or developed expertise in decarbonisation and/or sustainable fuels - a strong record in fuels sourcing or investment deals is definitely a plus!

  • Have strong leadership skills and stakeholder management skills - you can drive decision-making with senior management

  • Have a curious mindset and be eager to work with multi-level, cross-functional teams committed to meaningful and market-leading impact
