RE Tech Advisors is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and passionate Senior Director of Client Success to oversee ESG client delivery for domestic and international clients. The successful candidate will lead our ESG consulting team, which serves commercial real estate, private equity, manufacturing, corporations, and government clients. Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and maintain close relationships with senior-level contacts in key client organizations

  • Establishing RE Tech as the leader in the ESG industry and ensuring our team collaborates with clients to achieve their goals. Working to enhance ESG Impact, year over year with clients.

  • Oversee client managers who provide oversight to our key industry verticals (CRE, manufacturing, non-profits, government, private equity, and corporations)

  • lead business development

  • Partner with our Senior Director of Shared Services to bring expertise and specialized technical support to client engagements. Shared Services include Carbon & Finance Solutions, Engineering, Data & Analytics, and Marketing & Communications.

  • Develop and maintain our key ESG client service offerings, including scope of services and pricing, and expansion of services as needed.

  • Work with the Human Capital Manager, vertical leads, and client managers to identify hiring needs, engage in the interview process and hiring of new team members.

  • Engage with clients. Build and maintain key customer relationships to create opportunities for client growth.

  • Visit client sites as needed to meet with the client or oversee work of our project team.

  • Engage in all aspects of ESG consulting contracts and proposals- marketing, scope development, proposal writing and budgeting, project execution, budget tracking, and supervision of staff.

You will be working closely with industry thought leaders, playing a significant role influencing senior ESG stakeholders, driving ESG performance and implementing global sustainability trends and real estate management. Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Has overseen an ESG Team with multiple ESG Program Managers to ensure successful client delivery.

  • Ability to diagnose client needs and market context and translate into compelling ESG strategies that drive value.

  • Managed a team developing and administering successful sustainability, ESG, energy, or emissions reduction programs. Specifically, from commercial real estate and associated sectors, manufacturing, government, non-profit and corporations.

  • Sustainability-related experience in climate change, ESG, and corporate strategy trends and challenges.

  • Familiarity with industry reporting frameworks such as GRESB, SASB, CDP, UN PRI, SFDR and TCFD.

  • Understanding of business drivers and material ESG aspects that improve business, investment, and real estate financial performance.

  • Experience developing and managing program budgets (time and materials, and fixed price).

  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to a changing landscape and client needs, being able to pivot and adjust priorities and approaches.

  • Experience with decarbonization, electrification, net zero energy, net zero water strategies.

  • Familiarity with U.S. EPA ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (Concentration in Energy, Sustainability, Business, or related field).

  • Proficient experience in ESG Program / Project Management for multiple client engagements with minimal oversight, with combined budgets in the multi millions annually.

  • Experience managing teams in a consulting environment.

  • Experience serving as an Energy and/or Sustainability Program Manager including oversight of energy efficiency, decarbonization, DEI, and/or health/wellness projects.
