The Role
Acre is partnering with Cascale in search of a Senior Director of Facility Environmental Performance. This role is critical to Cascale's mission of improving environmental standards across global manufacturing facilities in the apparel, footwear, and home textiles industries.
As Senior Director, you will lead the strategic direction of facility environmental performance, with a key focus on the Higg Index Facility Environmental Module (FEM). You will work closely with industry leaders and key partners, including Worldly, ZDHC, and Textile Exchange, driving collaboration to ensure the Higg FEM continues to be a world-class framework for measuring and improving sustainability. You will bring deep expertise in project management and facility environmental program implementation and have extensive stakeholder engagement and consensus-building skills.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead the strategy for Cascale's Facility Environmental Performance program, driving improvements in sustainability across the manufacturing sector and advancing the organisation's environmental goals.
Coordinate internal, cross-functional working groups to ensure alignment and collaboration on program delivery.
Manage key external partnerships, including collaborations with Worldly and other industry bodies, ensuring industry-wide alignment and coordination around sustainability performance and decarbonisation efforts.
Oversee the continuous development and scaling of the Higg FEM tool, ensuring its effective use through supporting resources such as training programs, guidance materials, and translations.
Facilitate industry efforts to streamline sustainability assessments and reduce duplication across the value chain, promoting wider adoption of the Higg FEM.
Lead the vision for the future of the FEM verification program, including exploring innovative approaches to enhance data accuracy and impact on the ground.
Ideal Candidate Profile
10+ years of experience with Higg Index tools and sustainability programs in the apparel, footwear, and/or home textile sectors.
Proven track record in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects and driving consensus in a fast-paced, global environment.
Strong project management skills, with a focus on implementing and leading sustainability-focused initiatives.
Deep familiarity with the Higg suite of tools, including a clear understanding of the distinctions between the Higg methodology and traditional audit frameworks.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across internal teams and external partners.
Experience managing international and remote teams, ensuring effective coordination and delivery of strategic goals.
