Senior Energy Manager

Mileway offers a unique opportunity for an experienced, ambitious, and entrepreneurial Senior Energy Manager. This challenging position is both strategic and operational & both internal and external.

The properties, which are located within and around major cities, serve the last mile needs of its tenant base, totalling more than 15 million square meters.

The senior energy manager will be responsible for creating and implementing Mileway's energy strategy and programs, with a focus on increasing the energy efficiency of Mileway's asset portfolio and transitioning to renewable energy while optimising occupant comfort and financial results.

You'll work directly with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior leadership and local teams across the globe. This is a challenging role, suitable for an experienced professional with the knowledge, vision, and team attitude to put their stamp on a quickly growing and dynamic international organization.

What you will be doing:

• Ensuring Mileway hits its ESG targets for clean grid energy and onsite generation. Your role will be key in supporting energy efficiency, decarbonisation and GHG target programmes.

• Coordinate Mileway's clean energy programme, ensuring optimal, portfolio-wide clean energy procurement strategies and deployment of onsite clean energy.

• Maximize the Renewable Energy business case and grow energy-related revenue streams,

• Develop new client-facing clean energy solutions

• Establish financial planning, analysis and reporting,

• Contribute, both strategically and operationally, to Mileway's net-zero journey. Review and understand the implications of established building renovation priorities toward energy consumption and GHG (e.g. HVAC, electrical, lighting, sensors and controls, and operational) to deliver a coordinated effort between reducing energy use, decarbonisation, and clean energy usage.

• Provide your expertise to further develop data systems to ensure Mileway's requirements are fully documented and meet regulatory requirements

• Oversee project management and implementation across Europe.

Who you are and what you have:

• You have seven to ten years' relevant, in-depth knowledge of the European and UK energy landscape.

• You have strong experience in Real Estate, and you know what energy management means within that context.

• You have strong ESG knowledge and an excellent understanding of how energy management fits into the broader ESG agenda.

• You're familiar with setting up clean energy grid procurement arrangements and navigating the European energy landscape, including off-and onsite PPA, roof rental and leases, generation of onsite clean energy such as solar, including financial and legal requirements, SPV or other possible mechanisms. You have a strong understanding of the grid and local factors that may impact rollout and help you circumvent challenges.

• You bring energy and desire to lead, inspire, drive processes and positively influence those around you.

• Excellent communication skills. You can communicate up and down the organization and with external stakeholders. Your English is fluent, and an additional European language is an advantage.
