Are you an environmental sustainability professional based in the Southeast Asia region looking for your next impactful opportunity, which will enable you to develop a progressive regional environmental factory program for a leading multinational retailer?

Primark, following the launch of their flagship Primark Cares strategy, is seeking to add further capacity to their 130+ strong global ethical trade and environmental sustainability team. To support the delivery of their ambitious plan, Primark are seeking a Senior Environmental Executive to translate their environmental programmes and wider Primark Cares strategy in the Southeast Asia sourcing Region.

Reporting into the Senior Ethical Trade Manager, North and Southeast Asia, the Senior Environmental Executive will work with colleagues in the region and globally to advance supplier and factory environmental performance, managing risks where identified and providing innovative solutions.

You will also have the opportunity to:

  • Ensure suppliers and factories have the capacity to manage their own environmental performance wherever possible.

  • Design and deliver engaging training sessions on a range of environmental topics/programmes.

  • Gather and interpret data for monitoring purposes and to identify risks and opportunities.

  • Clearly and accurately report key information, statistics, and data to UK/Ireland head office.

  • Work with external organisations to deliver programmes in energy efficiency, renewable energy, chemical management, and others.

You will leverage the following:

  • Solid environmental sustainability experience gained in a comparable role, either at another brand or through a 3rd

  • Background in and knowledge of environmental issues and challenges relevant to the region and the apparel and footwear sector.

  • Knowledge of Higg Facilities Environment Module (FEM) and Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) programmes.

  • Excellent organisation and communication skills, with the ability to communicate across a diverse team of experts and cultures.
