Senior ESG Analyst/Associate

A global leading investment firm is looking for a Senior ESG Analyst to partner closely with their clients, research and portfolio management teams.

This individual will be an experienced analyst with a focus on product management to support ESG integration and engagement for investment managers.

​

This individual will collaborate across asset classes and investment strategies to spark new thinking and deliver superior outcomes.

​

Purpose of the role:

The purpose of the role will be to help drive the incorporation of ESG investment insights into the investment processes, in order to ensure the firm continues to demonstrate an offering that is compelling, robust and progressive.

Key responsibilities:

• The Senior ESG Analyst will play a critical role in driving the ongoing ESG investment management efforts.

• Keep abreast of the latest investment relevant developments across a range of ESG/sustainability matters to ensure their approach is informed by best practice

• Liaise and work effectively with different internal support functions such as compliance, global business development, and operations in order to deliver on ESG outputs, representing the ESG investment function on internal working groups as appropriate

• Inputting into the ESG elements of product development, ensuring that new strategies are credible from an ESG perspective and aligned to market/external ESG expectations

• Help to support the integration of ESG considerations into their product suite and, together with the Responsible Investing team, be a champion for overall firm-level support/advocacy, as well as focus on various channels and regions to ensure advisor/client support and competitive insight

• They will develop messaging, competitive positioning, and training on ESG integration within their product suite

• Ensure that they have a consistent range of materials to demonstrate ESG integration in all firm strategies

• Serve as primary contact for Global Sales (Regional Consultants / Managers, Institutional Associates / Advisors) for ESG related data requests

• Assist in executing product development agenda and the launch of new ESG-focused strategies

• Analyse ESG and competitor data to improve our thought leadership agenda, support the firm's brand in RI and promote specific strategies

• Partner with the RFP team on developing and maintaining general ESG related language as well as language for the Portfolios with Purpose strategies

• Oversight and quality control of ESG communications to clients and across databases

• Review and update prospecting decks, commentaries, fact sheets and product overviews for all ESG related products

Key qualifications/experience required:

• Experience in the investment-management industry (or related investment experience), with direct ESG-related experience

• Demonstrable robust, wide-ranging knowledge and understanding of ESG/sustainability issues and how they relate in an investment context

• Ideally some experience in developing and implementing firm-wide strategic ESG efforts regarding ESG integration and ESG-orientated products

• Intellectually curious about the capital markets, and finding creative ways to connect with clients & prospects globally

• Ability to work effectively under pressure while multitasking, adhering to tight deadlines, and maintaining strategic relationships with internal partners

• A desire to interact directly with internal clients and influence their product knowledge and support our sales efforts

• Highly detail-oriented and organized
