Mileway offers a unique opportunity for an experienced, ambitious and entrepreneurial Senior ESG Manager. This challenging position is both strategic and operational & both internal and external.

Mileway, is the leading last-mile logistics real estate company in Europe. They have a pan-European footprint, with over 1700 assets across the major European economies. The properties, which are located within and around major cities, serve the last mile needs of its tenant base, total more than 15 million square meters.

Mileway is growing at an unprecedented rate - to further strengthen their ESG capabilities, they are hiring an experienced, entrepreneurial senior ESG Manager who is ready to shine in an innovative international team.

The senior ESG Manager will further develop Mileway's ESG strategy and will be responsible for putting Mileway at the forefront of sustainable companies in the Real Estate market.

You'll work directly with a diverse range of stakeholders including senior leadership and local teams across the globe. This is a challenging role, suitable for an experienced professional with the knowledge, vision, and team attitude to put their stamp on a quickly growing and dynamic international organization.

The Senior ESG Manager will report to Julie Villet, the Head of ESG and Innovation.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead environmental & sustainability activities including climate action plan and carbon reduction programs from strategy and inception to execution.

  • Oversee the ESG reporting and the development of critical tools to measure and manage the process. Further develop the ESG framework (review of materiality, review of objectives and action plans)

  • Actively contribute in taking Mileway's ESG governance activities to the highest standard.

  • Own Mileway's sustainability strategy, policy and execution, collaborating with stakeholders from the C-suite to local market teams to communicate and carry out your vision.

  • Create and contribute to broad sustainability initiatives that will contribute to Mileway's bottom line.

  • Identify and engage in external sustainability partnerships that can help propel Mileway's ESG ambitions.

Who you are and what you have:

  • You have seven to ten years of experience in international ESG management and a proven track record in implementing and developing sustainability programs. You are experienced in business and operational transformations. Your experience is broad and includes reporting, governance, social value, etc. You have a specialization in environment and climate change (energy efficiency, carbon reduction strategies)

  • You have in-depth knowledge of the regulatory landscape in Europe around sustainability, energy, and carbon reduction. Knowledge of industry leading frameworks (GRESB, BREEAM, CREEM)

  • You understand the Real Estate industry or a related field, and you know how to apply that knowledge to quickly identify and implement continuous improvements.

  • You are used to working with and meeting high standards in ESG, preferably in a listed company, and you have investor relations experience.

  • You have experience in a hyper-growth and dynamic international environment, and you know how to quickly adapt to new situations. In addition to in-house positions, experience in Strategy Consulting, Management Consulting or within a specialized sustainability consulting firm is a plus.

  • You possess great analytical skills to assess and interpret a huge amount of data.

  • You have a collaborative approach. You know how to work with and get buy-in from diverse stakeholders and have already done complex stakeholder engagement in an international company.

  • You have excellent communication skills. You can communicate up and down the organization and with external stakeholders. Your English is fluent, and an additional language is an advantage.
