As the internationally leading farm welfare charity, they collaborate with some of the world's biggest food companies, all on the mission to drive towards an ethical and sustainable food supply.

Now in a phase of growth and development, they are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join them to support their 'Better Chicken' Project's strategic development, planning and coordination.

You will also be:

  • Help formulate strategies for further sign-ups to the European Chicken Commitment (ECC).

  • Work with industry to navigate barriers and find solutions for the implementation of the ECC.

  • Ensure the annual Chicken Track report is published on time and to budget.

  • Help promote the marketing/communications on Better Chicken.

  • Represent Compassion in a variety of external fora to influence the uptake of the BCC.

Reporting to the Global Director of the food business, you will be the face of the Better Chickens project and continue to support growing the project team and collaborating with the wider organisation.

You already have:

  • Experience in procurement and / or supply chain management or CSR within food or other relevant industry.

  • Knowledge of commercial chicken production and supply chains.

  • Knowledge of sales and marketing or communications disciplines.

  • Proven people management skills for effective team delivery.

  • Ability to manage multistakeholder forums and high-level external engagement.

  • Proven project management skills from planning through to delivery and reporting.
