Why are you here?
There's a few reasons that will work well for us both:
You're in a recruitment position because you like working with people, but you want to make an impact - perhaps somewhere you can see your work drive meaningful change or where you can operate in a really interesting sector.
Growth and development means something to you. You're motivated by the thought of working for a company that doesn't just pay the bills, but that's willing to help you develop your skills and achieve your goals - whether they're personal or professional.
You know that sustainability means far more than canvas tote bags and binging David Attenborough documentaries on the weekend - and you'd like to help spread your knowledge wider. It's what gets you out of bed in the morning and if you could find a job that would let you help organisations make an impact, you'd have signed on the dotted line yesterday.
If you're nodding along, it sounds like you're in the right place.
We'll tell you why we're here.
We're experiencing incredible levels of growth at Acre and it's happening thick and fast. As you'd expect in those circumstances, the volume of roles we're working on is growing exponentially. To help us deliver, we need someone with an appetite for business development, but an even greater interest in strong account management. Someone who can represent our brand professionally in the marketplace, who can source excellent candidates and who can deliver an exceptional recruitment process.
Does this sound like you? Let's tell you more about it.
Firstly, we're a global recruitment business operating in the sustainability and climate change sectors. I'm sure this explains a little about why we're so busy - everyone is looking to tackle these problems head-on right now, but also need a recruitment partner that's been around the block a couple of times. Fortunately, we've been doing this a long time - 18 years to be exact.
We're headquartered in London, offices in Amsterdam and New York… but currently, we're all working from home. We can be flexible about that in the long term too if that's your preference, so we're open to where you're based, as long as you could get into London perhaps once per fortnight.
Now, if you were to join us as a Senior Recruitment Consultant, what might the role look like on the day to day?
Managing client relationships & serving as a trusted-thinking partner: you'll engage with clients about their recruitment needs, building relationships to become a trusted advisor, whilst identifying opportunities for the application of Acre's other services
Helping to craft proposals, lead client meetings and negotiate commercial arrangements: you'll master an understanding of Acre's value proposition and use it to secure business from existing clients, as well as new leads in your market.
Supporting the delivery requirements of key hires in your market: you'll capture an accurate understanding of client briefs and deliver them to best effect to win repeat and new business via referrals and feedback
Engaging exceptional candidates: you'll keep your finger on the pulse in the candidate marketplace at all times, looking for creative and innovative ways to build your network, to identify individuals who are relevant to your client's search requirements and to engage candidates regularly so that they know to come to you for support in their current role or with finding their next
Delivering recruitment processes in a way that'll make your clients want to tell their friends about: you'll project manage every aspect of the recruitment cycle from CV to completion, and everything in between. This includes qualifying candidates for a role, interview consultation, offer management and much more.
As a whole, what else might interest you about working at Acre?
You'll be working in a supportive, development-driven environment. This means that we'll work with you to form an 'Alliance' whereby we'll let you know what we hope to get from you in your role, but we'll also ask you what we can do to help you develop and progress your career in return.
You'll be encouraged to leverage our successes and learn from our failures. Acre is a well-known name in the sectors we operate in and you will therefore benefit from an established and professional reputation, a strong database and a wealth of experience from your colleagues.
When it comes to helping tackle some of the world's greatest social and environmental issues, we're a large team of very passionate individuals. With that, we strive to embody our values of:
Collaboration: We trust each other and we work together because we believe that collectively, we can achieve more.
Innovation: We apply curiosity and creativity to everything we do, learning by asking the right questions to find innovative and forward thinking solutions for our clients and our business.
Integrity: We hold ourselves to the same high standards we hold society to.
Courage: We embrace the power of vulnerability and transparency. We are brave in our conversations, will challenge directly and are courageous about doing the right thing, not the easy thing.
If this sounds like something you'd enjoy doing, you might like to know what skills we'd ask from you in return:
Experience in recruitment consultancy, with a successful track record of consistent revenue generation, would be ideal but not necessarily a must
A proven team player with a natural tendency to collaborate
Motivation to build successful relationships at all levels, from CEO to Analyst
A consultative approach and the ability to work with clients in the spirit of partnership
A thirst for knowledge and improvement, with the constant desire to demonstrate drive and work ethic
We'd love to hear from you if you think that this sounds like the right opportunity for you. Please apply directly or contact Anna Keen at Anna.Keen@acre.com.
