To help us deliver, we're looking to hire a Senior Consultant in our Sustainable Energy Team with a specific focus on carbon markets. Someone with an appetite for business development, but an even greater interest in representing our brand professionally in the marketplace, sourcing excellent candidates and delivering an exceptional recruitment process.​

Sustainable energy makes up one of our three primary business areas alongside sustainable finance and sustainable business. In 2022, we'll undergo considerable growth in this area across North America, Europe, the UK and Asia-Pacific.

In the US, our Sustainable Energy Team is at an early stage of development, so the opportunity exists to contribute to our strategy and to benefit from the growth that lies ahead.

We're a global recruitment business operating in the sustainability and climate change sectors. This explains a little about why we're so busy - everyone is looking to tackle these problems head-on right now, but also need a recruitment partner that's well versed in these markets. Fortunately, we've been doing this a long time - for almost twenty years - so we know what our clients are looking to achieve and the solutions that will get them there.​​​


What will your core responsibilities be in this role?​

  • Managing client relationships & serving as a trusted-thinking partner: You'll engage with clients about their recruitment needs, building relationships to become a trusted advisor, whilst identifying opportunities for the application of Acre's other services.

  • Helping to craft proposals, lead client meetings and negotiate commercial arrangements: You'll master an understanding of Acre's value proposition and use it to secure business from existing clients, as well as new leads in your market.

  • Supporting the delivery requirements of key hires in your market: You'll capture an accurate understanding of client briefs and deliver them to best effect to win repeat and new business via referrals and feedback

  • Engaging exceptional candidates: You'll keep your finger on the pulse in the candidate marketplace at all times, looking for creative and innovative ways to build your network, to identify individuals who are relevant to your client's search requirements and to engage candidates regularly so that they know to come to you for support in their current role or with finding their next.

  • Delivering recruitment processes in a way that'll make your clients want to tell their friends about: You'll project manage every aspect of the recruitment cycle from CV to completion, and everything in between. This includes qualifying candidates for a role, interview consultation, offer management and much more.​

What are your skills?

  • You'll be an experienced recruitment consultant, with a successful track record of both generating and delivering commercial success.

  • You'll have an understanding of sustainable energy and, more specifically, carbon markets to include the commercial landscape, legislation and key market drivers and risks.

  • You'll have a consultative approach with the ability to partner with clients in the capacity of a trusted advisor.

  • You'll have a network/ interest/ understanding of recruitment in climate services, nature based solutions and/or carbon markets.

  • You'll have a thirst for knowledge and continuous improvement, with the constant desire to demonstrate drive and exceptional levels of service.
