Acre has partnered up with Melco Resorts & Entertainment to hire a Senior Manager of Sustainability. This role will be based in Hong Kong and will report directly to the Senior Sustainability Advisor.

What you will be doing:

  • Managing the group's greenhouse gas emission inventory and the related accounting and verification process (across Scope 1, 2 and 3)

  • External and internal reporting

  • Driving environmental sustainability initiatives across the group, working closely with business units

  • Analysing impact reduction projects and developing sustainability policies and procedures

  • Working collaboratively with teams across the business to develop and drive initiatives that reduce the environmental impact of business activities for Melco

What you will be responsible for:

  • Environmental data management for both Melco Resorts and Melco International groups

  • Supporting the development of corporate sustainability initiatives to reach Melco's long-term environmental goals, which includes working closely with key business units across the group to drive initiatives

  • Overseeing implementation of Melco's sustainability goals and targets across the business; improve implementation methodologies, set annual milestones, and prepare presentations to report on progress to sustainability working groups through to the board

  • Supporting the production of an annual corporate sustainability report, including data collection, measurement and analysis, greenhouse gas verification and content development

  • Participating in external speaking opportunities to promote Melco's progress and perspective on industry sustainability topics

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Influence change with internal business partners without direct reporting relationships

  • Be comfortable working with all levels of employees, from senior-level executives to front-line individual contributors

  • Manage and work collaboratively with cross-functional and cross-geographical working groups

  • Travel both regionally and globally

  • Clearly articulate the business value of sustainability investment

  • Multi-task, set priorities, and meet tight deadlines

  • Bring an entrepreneurial spirit to identify and act on new opportunities or improvements

It would be ideal if you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree - MBA or Masters a plus but not a must

  • Proven track record in developing sustainability strategy and program implementation

  • Experience in managing greenhouse gas inventory and leading a carbon emissions verification process

  • Knowledge of major global sustainability principles, standards and codes of conduct

  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communications skills (English and Chinese); able to describe complex concepts to multiple audiences and engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders

  • Demonstrated expertise in corporate responsibility, sustainability, employee engagement and communications programs

  • Experience in delivering high-quality written reports, recommendations and presentations to multiple audiences using sound reasoning and data

  • Strong proficiency in Excel

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows programs (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), using internet search engines, mobile technologies, and data analytical tools
